Russian oil major OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) has temporarily shut down operations at its Odessa refinery in Ukraine starting Oct. 1, the company said Friday.

the company didn't say when operations will resume. A Lukoil spokesman said the company will issue a statement later Friday.

Last year, Lukoil processed 2 million metric tons of crude oil at the Odessa refinery, the company said. The refinery has an annual capacity of 2.8 million tons.
