MELBOURNE, Australia--QBE Insurance Group Ltd. (QBE.AU) said
Thursday it has appointed as its chief financial officer Patrick
Regan, who has been finance chief at U.K. insurer Aviva PLC (AV.LN)
for almost four years.
Mr. Regan will join the Australian company in June and take over
from Neil Drabsch, who last October delayed his planned retirement
after his chosen successor, Steven Burns, stepped down from
full-time executive duties.
"He brings the experience, energy and focus that are required in
this critical role," said John Neal, QBE's chief executive.
Mr. Regan joined Aviva in February 2010 as its chief financial
officer and since April 2012 has been responsible for the company's
U.S. operation. He also has held senior roles at Willis Group
Holdings (WSH), Royal & Sun Alliance PLC, AXA SA (CS.FR) and GE
Capital Bank.
