Italian energy regulator Aeeg Friday said electricity and
natural gas utility bills will increase in the third quarter of the
year as a result of higher international oil prices.
In a statement, the regulator said electricity prices will rise
by an average of 1.4% and gas prices will go up 1.1% on average
from Monday for households and small businesses that have decided
to stay within a system in which energy prices are set by Aeeg.
Annually, the increases will add an average of 14 euros ($18.06)
to the gas bill and EUR7.6 to the electricity one, the regulator
said.
