BP PLC and Piaggio & C. SpA have agreed to collaborate to provide services to the two- and three-wheeled electric-vehicles market in Europe, India and Asia.

BP, the U.K. oil major, said Monday that it is aiming to develop electric-vehicle charging, battery-swap services and stations, and vehicle leasing in partnership with Piaggio.

Piaggio is an Italian manufacturer of scooters and motorcycles such as Vespa, Aprilia, Piaggio and Derbi.
