AXA SA said late Thursday that it appointed Antoine Gosset-Grainville as chairman of the board of directors and confirmed the renewal of Thomas Buberl as chief executive officer.

The French insurer said Mr. Gosset-Grainville will replace Denis Duverne in the role of chairman. Mr. Buberl was reappointed as a member of the board for a four-year term.

AXA's shareholders approved all resolutions submitted by the board at the annual meeting.
