BOARD APPOINTMENT

The Board of Telemetrix is pleased to announce the appointment today of Barry
Waite as a non-executive director.

Between 1998 and 2002 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Chartered
Semiconductor Manufacturing in Singapore.  Previously he spent 16 years with the
Semiconductor division of Motorola where he held a number of senior management
positions including responsibility for all operations in Europe and MEA, General
Manager of the Microprocessor and Memory Technology Group and General Manager of
the East Kilbride wafer fabrication facility.  A UK citizen, Barry started his
career in the semiconductor industry in 1970 with Texas Instruments in the UK,
holding at various times towards the end of his 12 years there management
responsibilities for Digital Circuits, based in Texas and for Discrete products
based in Europe.  Barry is now retired and resident in Austin, Texas.  He is
also a director of NASDAQ listed Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc, the world's
leading supplier of semiconductor assembly and test interconnect equipment.

There are no further disclosures required to be made pursuant to paragraphs
6.F.2 (b) to (g) and paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing
Authority.

Commenting on the appointment, Liz Airey, the Chairman of Telemetrix, said:

"We are delighted to have been able to attract to the Board of Telemetrix
someone of such standing and experience in the semiconductor industry.  We
believe Barry will be able to make a major contribution to the Group and
particularly to the future development of Zetex our analog semiconductor
subsidiary, from the exciting position that it has established as a world
leading supplier of analog solutions in both power and signal management
applications."
