Government Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: GOV) today announced
the results of its 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders which was
held earlier today as follows.
Barry M. Portnoy was re-elected as a Managing Trustee in Class
II by a plurality of all shares voted.
Jeffrey P. Somers was re-elected as an Independent Trustee in
Class II by a plurality of all shares voted.
Shareholders approved a non-binding advisory resolution
approving the compensation of the Company’s named executive
officers.
Shareholders approved a non-binding advisory resolution
approving the frequency with which shareholders wish to have a
non-binding advisory vote on the compensation of the Company’s
named executive officers.
Shareholders ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP
as GOV’s independent registered public accounting firm.

owns properties located throughout the United States that are
majority leased to the U.S. Government and other government
