Symmetricom®, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYMM), a major supplier of precise time and frequency technologies, announced Juan Dewar as the company’s new executive vice president, worldwide sales and services, effective immediately. Mr. Dewar has responsibility for expanding worldwide sales of the company’s renowned timing technology products and services. Mr. Dewar joined Symmetricom in March of this year, bringing extensive global experience in sales and marketing management at both Fortune 500 and start-up companies in the wireless industry.

Most recently, Mr. Dewar was vice president, worldwide sales at WildCharge, Inc., a start-up wire-free power technology company. He also served as senior vice president of global sales and services and later as CEO at Tira Wireless, providers of software technology and services for mobile content management. From 1997-2006, Mr. Dewar held a variety of sales and management positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc., including vice president of global sales for the media and entertainment industry. He was also the director of international sales at Symmetricom from 1992-1996. Mr. Dewar holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Madrid, Spain.
