DIAMOND RESORTS INTERNATIONAL® (NYSE:DRII), a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, proudly announces an evening of musical entertainment with an all-star line-up of world-class musicians including a special guest appearance by Darius Rucker at The Brian Gay Invitational on December 7, 2013 at the Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club.

Following the amateur/celebrity golf event on Saturday, December 7, the evening’s concert will feature a roster of premier musicians including original band members from Hootie and the Blowfish, bassist, Dean Felber and lead guitarist, Mark Bryan; Creed drummer, Scott Phillips; and a special performance by country music superstar, Darius Rucker.

The lead singer and rhythm guitarist for rock band Hootie and the Blowfish, and an award-winning country music artist, Darius Rucker, has charted several hits on Billboard’s Hot100 since the start of his career as a singer/songwriter in 1986. As a co-founder of Hootie and the Blowfish, he recorded five studio albums including their successful debut album “Cracked Rear View” which featured hit singles “Hold My Hand”, “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You”. Since signing with Capitol Records Nashville in 2008, Rucker has released six number one country music hits including "It Won't Be Like This for Long", "Alright", “Come Back Song" and "This". In 2009 he received the New Artist Award from the Country Music Association.

The Brian Gay Invitational presented by Diamond Resorts International® is a best-in-class celebrity/amateur golf tournament at Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club in Celebration, Florida on December 6-8, 2013. Net Proceeds will benefit Florida Hospital for Children.

FHFC is home to a world-class panel of pediatric specialists and highly qualified staff dedicated to the care of the children. The hospital features a lobby designed by Disney that features characters and interactive games to ease the fear and anxieties of patients and their families.
