Fisker has joined the ranks of automakers planning to provide customers with access to Tesla's Supercharger network.

Fisker on Tuesday said it has signed an agreement to adopt the North American Charging Standard used in Tesla's network of fast chargers on its first vehicles in 2025.

The Manhattan Beach, Calif., electric-vehicle startup said the move will give Fisker owners access to more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers in the U.S. and Canada, adding that all current and future Fisker vehicles will be covered by the agreement.

Fisker said its customers will be able to use adapters for the Tesla network beginning in 2025, and that it plans to later update vehicle engineering to include a North American Charging Standard inlet.

Several automakers, including General Motors and Ford, have recently signed deals to incorporate the Tesla-style charging ports on future electric vehicles.
