Kroger and UFCW Local 227 Reach Tentative Agreement in Kentucky

CINCINNATI, April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Kroger Co.
(NYSE: KR) announced today that a tentative agreement has been
reached with UFCW Local 227 in Kentucky. The tentative agreement
with UFCW Local 227 covers more than 11,200 associates at 87 stores
in both Kentucky and southern Indiana. The UFCW will fully
recommend the tentative agreement to its members for consideration.
Details of the tentative agreement are not being released pending
ratification. Kroger, one of the nation's largest retail grocery
