(NYSE:MHL), a residential mortgage real estate investment trust (REIT), today announced that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.09 per common share for the fourth quarter of 2006. The dividend is payable on December 29, 2006, to stockholders of record as of December 22, 2006. The ex- dividend date is December 20, 2006. Pending Acquisition by Deutsche Bank On July 12, 2006, the Company announced that it will be acquired by Deutsche Bank in an all cash transaction. The Company currently anticipates that the closing of the acquisition will occur on January 2, 2007. The anticipated closing date is subject to the satisfaction of various closing conditions, including the receipt of all required regulatory approvals. Consequently, no assurance can be given that the closing conditions will be met in order to effect a January 2, 2007 closing.
