Shell International Petroleum Limited Joins Quadrem E-Marketplace
DALLAS, Texas and LONDON, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Shell
International Petroleum Company Limited ("Shell") has joined
Quadrem's global e-marketplace following the successful pilot
ofQuadrem production solutions at Shell customer sites in Chile,
South Africa and the United States. As a key supplier of
hydrocarbon products and services to the mining industry, Shell

an increased demand from existing customers to do e-business.
Marion Wagner, mining e-commerce specialist, comments: "e-business
is a strategically important selling channel for Shell, and one
which we realise we must embrace if we are to continue growing our
customer relationships. Many of our mining customers have already
started to transact online, using e-business tools to put work out
to tender, find the best supplier and manage those relationships -
so joining Quadrem seemed the idealway to further develop our
existing e-business profile." Shaun Scott, Shell's industrial
markets manager, comments: "Joining Quadrem presents a key sales
opportunity for Shell and allows us to strengthen our position in
the e-business arena, deliver added value to our operations and
bring us closer to key customers across the globe." Gordon
