Sun Life Financial completes offering of Senior Unsecured Debentures

TORONTO, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sun Life Financial Inc.
(TSX/NYSE:SLF) announced today the successful completion of a
public offering in Canada of $300 million principal amount of
Series D Senior Unsecured 5.70% Debentures due 2019. The net
proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including
investments in subsidiaries. The debentures were sold under a
pricing supplement dated June 25, 2009, issued pursuant to the
Company's short form base shelf prospectus and its prospectus
supplement dated April 1, 2009, which are available on the SEDAR
website for Sun Life Financial Inc. at http://www.sedar.com/. The
Series D Debentures have not been and will not be registered under
