Technicolor Sells Convergent Media Systems To Sony Electronics

Technicolor (TMS.FR), which was previously called Thomson SA,
Thursday said it sold its convergent media systems activities to
Sony Electronics Inc., a unit of Sony Corp. (SNE).
MAIN FACTS:
- The terms of this transaction are financially non-material to
Technicolor.
- The transaction, which closed Jan. 27, affects 150 full-time
employees in North America.
- Convergent Media Systems is specialized in digital signage and
content distribution systems and lies outside the scope of
Technicolor's strategic focus on content creators.
- The divestiture process for Thomson's Grass Valley,
Screenvision and PRN units continues.
- Thomson SA shareholders Wednesday approved a name change to
Technicolor.
