African Gold announces that at a board meeting held on 17 December 2003, the
board confirmed the appointment of John Anderson, Oliver Baring and Hank Slack
as non-executive directors, with immediate effect. Also on 17 December 2003, the
following options over ordinary 1p shares in the Company were granted to certain
of the directors and to an entity in which Hank Slack is interested. The
interests of the directors in the grant of options made on 17 December 2003 is
as follows:
