TAYLOR, Mich., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) announced today that David F. Brown has joined Masco as Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President - Supply Chain, effective December 1. In his new position, Mr. Brown is responsible for setting the overall supply chain strategy and procurement policy for Masco's global organization. "David has a history of improving the growth and profitability of organizations by transforming their supply chain function," said Donny DeMarie, Masco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "His leadership of our global supply chain will help ensure Masco executes the right supply chain strategy to meet our customers' expectations and our overall performance objectives." Mr. Brown joins Masco from Dell where most recently he was vice president of Global Logistics and Fulfillment responsible for system design, sourcing and operations of Dell's global material network. Prior to that position, Mr. Brown led Dell's Worldwide Procurement, which included global sourcing of all indirect commodities including Logistics, Dell Services, Call Centers and IT/Telecom. Mr. Brown joined Dell in 2001 from General Motors Worldwide Purchasing. During his 18-year tenure with GM, he held executive positions in areas including Supplier Development, Manufacturing, Quality Control and Global Procurement. Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York in Business, Management and Economics. He also studied Architecture at Louisiana State University. He is a member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Board of Directors, serving on the International Committee as chairperson for the China Committee, and a member of the University of Michigan's Tauber Manufacturing Industrial Advisory Board.
