PG&E Issues Statement Supporting New Statewide Fuel Standard

SAN FRANCISCO, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pacific Gas and
Electric Company (PG&E) today issued a statement supporting the
decision of the California Air Resources Board (ARB) to adopt a new
statewide fuel standard that calls for at least a 10 percent
reduction in the carbon intensity of California's transportation
fuels by 2020. Adoption of this regulation is one of many measures
identified by ARB to implement AB 32, the California Global Warming
Solutions Act of 2006, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. "We applaud the Air Resources
Board for continuing California's long record of environmental
leadership by approving a low carbon fuel standard," said Nancy
