      Resignation of Group Finance Director and Appointment of Replacement



The Board of Paladin announces the resignation of Daniel Stewart-Roberts, Group
Finance Director, with effect from 30th November 2003.  Having joined Paladin in
August 2002, he is leaving by mutual consent to pursue other interests.



Rob Ellam, Group Financial Controller, has today been promoted to the new post
of General Manager, Finance and has joined Paladin's Executive Committee. A
chartered accountant by training, Rob has a total of 22 years' experience in the
oil industry, having worked at Chevron, Elf and Clyde Petroleum prior to joining
Paladin in June 1998.



Cuth McDowell, Executive Director since September 1997, will assume the Group
Finance Director's responsibilities, in addition to his existing commercial and
business development role.
