Pursuant to the conversion and exchange of US$10,000 of SAB Finance (Cayman
Islands) Limited 4.25 per cent Guaranteed Convertible Bonds due 2006, 1,153
SABMiller plc Ordinary Shares of US$0.10 each have been issued.



Accordingly, application has been made to The UK Listing Authority for these
shares to be admitted to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for
these shares to be admitted to trading.  The Shares rank pari passu with the
existing issued shares of the Company.



An application will also been made for these shares to be listed on the
Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
