May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Parkways Foundation presents the
second annual GALApalooza on Thursday, July 31 at 6 p.m. at the
Petrillo Band Shell in Grant Park at Columbus and Jackson Drives.
GALApalooza treats guests to an exclusive sneak preview of the
transformation of Grant Park into the Lollapalooza venue in a
lounge-like atmosphere. Sofas and ottomans take the place of
traditional tables affording the opportunity to mix and mingle with
other party goers while enjoying cocktails and a buffet dinner. The

Lollapalooza featured band Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will take
the stage for an unforgettable funk, rhythm and blues performance.
Their album 100 Days, 100 Nights celebrates the band's traditional
rhythm and blues roots and has brought them to the forefront of old
school soul and funk music. Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings is also
opening for Dave Matthews Band at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL and
was recently featured on Late Night with David Letterman. Parkways
