OTTAWA, Feb. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Clearford Water Systems
Inc. ("Clearford" or the "Company"), (TSX-V: CLI), today announced
that it held a commissioning ceremony for its Clearford One™
installation at Fetherston Park in North Grenville Ontario which is
now commissioned and operating within all Ontario Ministry of
Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) regulatory requirements.
As announced in a Clearford press release on January 29th, 2016, the system is
currently collecting and treating all sanitary sewage for 38
permanent residences, with capacity to service 46. The potable
water network installed in a common trench with the sewer system is
also complete and fully operational. Both the potable water and
wastewater treatment plants include ultra violet purification using
the Hallet® system designed and manufactured by UV Pure
Technologies Inc. of Toronto, a
subsidiary of Clearford.
In the summer of 2013 the Municipality of North Grenville issued a notice to the
residents that it would close the park and evict residents due to
public health concerns related to the failed wastewater system.
Clearford has provided a unique solution which has allowed the
residents of Fetherston to revitalize the Park and maintain their
homes. "We are very pleased with the speed we were able to
commission this plant and see it operating in full compliance with
MOECC regulations " said Clearford CEO Kevin Loiselle "This is the first Clearford One™
installation in Ontario and we are
looking forward to using this site to demonstrate the versatility
of our packaged wastewater management solution " he
continued.
Clearford hosted the commissioning event at the site on
February 19, 2016 which was attended
by the residents, representatives of the municipality, its
subcontractors and suppliers who installed the system and the
operators of the system. A grand opening event will follow in the
summer of 2016.
