LONDON--Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (RR.LN) said Monday that Air China Ltd. (0753.HK) has selected its Trent 1000 engines for 15 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner planes.

The order will increase Rolls-Royce's order book by $1 billion, the aero-engineer said.

"This is a significant selection by a valued customer and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with Air China," said Rolls-Royce Chief Executive John Rishton.
