Fannie Hires Morgan Stanley, Freddie Hires JPMorgan - Posted on 06/16/2020

Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) hired Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in the hopes of getting the government-sponsored enterprise back to private markets by boosting its capital and evaluation market impacts. Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) hired JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a financial advisor as well. The mortgage giants are preparing to recapitalize and eventually exit conservatorship. The U.S. federal government took over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac during the zenith of the 2008 global financial crisis.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency’s owns financial advisor is investment bank Houlihan Lokey. Houlihan Lokey will assist in developing plans to help return Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back to the private markets and out of direct government control.

Have said many times here.....my gut is that something has changed. Letter Trump wrote several years back to Rand Paul is nice but in some ways meaningless. GSEs are a chess piece on a very busy board. Commons are a pimple on the rear end of that chess piece. There is a rule of law, but that path doesn't lead to a higher share price anytime in the foreseeable future.

It has no date for Pulte. This is all I have seen so far. I guess the clear answer is that no one knows and it is pendinging..............guess I finally got it.

Treasurer Bissent first said he is for privatizing the GSE before he was confirmed. Now he is singing a different tune saying that privatizing the GSE could lead to increased interest rates and is why he is not for privatizing the GSEs Now, he does not need to get confirmed so he renigs on his word as most members of Congress do. I would not trust members of Congress if our lives dependent on it. They are mostly crooked in their ways and think they are above the law. Like Pelosi for example.

The GSEs need Pulte to be confirmed in order for FNMA and FMCC to be taken off the OTC POS that it is and relisted on either the Nasdaq or the NYSE.

Relisting is what many are waiting for.

Bigger global investors will probably want to soak up GSE shares at these bargain basement pps.

There aren't many companies making 20B and 10B a year. Pulte's conformation will be one of the remaining stepping stones to cataPULT the pps into double digits.

Speaking only for myself, I don't see this Pulte thing as some super catalyst for the share price to jump at that time but I DO see the Pulte vote as the next domino to fall to get us where we need to go.

People are putting way too much weight on Pulte being nominated which will happen regardless but I don't see some big buying frenzy on that day ...more likely the opposite. Sell the news is more common than buying it.
