Swedish investment company Investor AB (INVE-B.SK) said Tuesday
it has booked a SEK940 million goodwill write-down after lowering
medium-term forecasts for its health care subsidiary Aleris, as it
reported an increased net asset value in the fourth quarter of
2013.
MAIN FACTS:
-The lower forecasts for Aleris comes after the company has
decided on "a fundamental overhaul of operations, including the
implementation of a country-based organization, consolidation of
units and efficiency improvements, e.g. in the Stockholm hospitals,
and continued investments in quality."
-At the end of the fourth quarter, Investor's net asset value
was SEK283 a share, up from SEK230 at year-end 2012.
-The company's board proposes to increase the dividend per share
to SEK8 from SEK7.
-Fourth-quarter net profit was SEK14.14 billion, up from
SEK10.84 billion in the year-ago period.
-Shares closed Monday at SEK207.90.
