Pueblo, CO -- October 30, 2018 -- InvestorsHub NewsWire --
Sprout Tiny Homes (STHI:PK) is pleased to announce that the 40 unit
workforce housing project with Aspen Ski Company was recently
acknowledged with a prestigious award by the Urban Land Institute
at its fall meeting in Boston, MA. The Kemp Award jury
recognized the Aspen Skiing Company’s innovative workforce housing
project in Aspen, Colorado, with a Chairman’s Award, a special
recognition bestowed this year for a creative project designed
specifically to address the critical shortage of affordable housing
for resort workers in Aspen, CO. Sprout designed,
manufactured and delivered 40 high quality tiny homes with
innovative floor plans and HVAC systems to Aspen Ski Company that
house nearly 120 employees.
“Sprout is very honored and pleased that SkiCo was acknowledged
with this prestigious ULI Kemp award as it clearly brings light to
the kind of high-quality innovation we are delivering for our
commercial clients,” said Rod Stambaugh, CEO of Sprout Tiny
Homes. “The evolution of housing is escalating at a rapid
pace and we have a clear vision of the kind of design, technology
and desire for zero energy ready homes that will completely change
the approach builders must take to compete in an evolving
market. Smaller footprints, high-quality construction,
chemical free interiors, innovative floor plans, state of the art
HVAC / air quality systems, and smart home automation delivered at
an affordable price with the added benefit of certified Zero Energy
Ready status is the future of housing and we are delivering it
today!”
As further validation of our efforts with SkiCo, we are also
pleased to announce the receipt of a 3rd order of our homes, which
received some of the highest tenant ratings of all of the available
workforce housing options. The newest home order will be
added to the fleet of 40 units already in place and housing SkiCo
employees.
This progress further validates Sprout’s recent announcements
about designing aging in place and disabled friendly floor plans as
well obtaining a DOE Zero Energy Ready Home certification.
When evaluating affordable housing options, you have to consider
the total cost of ownership. Where other builders attempt
affordability by cheapening the materials utilized in the building
process and reducing amenities, Sprout is
accomplishing the goal through better design, innovation and a
smaller footprint that can achieve a net zero annual energy cost.
Sprout is designing and building the future of housing and
giving new life to the American Dream of home ownership. We
think differently about modern housing, residential developments
and have a clear vision of the future of housing. Our clients
are realizing the benefits and being acknowledged for their
willingness to buy into our vision as well.
