PERSTORP AB ISSUES PROSPECTUS AHEAD OF STOCK EXCHANGE LISTING OF PERGO AB SHARES

Today, May 18, Perstorp AB is issuing a listing prospectus, by publishing the
Swedish and English versions on the company's website (www.perstorp.com).  In
addition, a printed version of the prospectus will be distributed to all
Perstorp shareholders.  A copy can be ordered from the Company.

As previously announced, Perstorp AB's Board of Directors proposes that the
Annual General Meeting approve the spin-off of all of the shares in Pergo AB to
Perstorp shareholders in proportion to their holdings of Perstorp Shares.
