Aram announces that it has been informed that Mr Giles Nixon, Chairman of the
Company, has exercised the private option agreement entered into with Mrs
Binns, the wife of the Company's Chief Executive Mr David Binns, at the time
of the Tregunnon Quarry acquisition.

Under the terms of the option agreement Mrs Binns has agreed to transfer
225,000 of her ordinary shares in the Company to Mr Nixon.  Following the
transfer Mr Binns and Mr Nixon will each be deemed to be beneficially
interested in 2,627,500 ordinary shares in the Company.
