Celsis International plc announces that discussions with Biotec Laboratories
have been mutually terminated.  The Directors believe that to continue with
the planned acquisition, as outlined at the Interim Results in December 2000,
would not enhance shareholder value at this time given current market
conditions.

This decision does not alter the company's strategy of focusing on driving
profits through a combination of organic growth and selected acquisitions, as
summarised at the Interim Results.  In particular Celsis is now integrating
ConCell, a business acquired last month to reinforce the company's leading
position in the European dairy screening market.
