NYSEG and RG&E Prepare for Expected Severe Winds Across the State

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- In anticipation of severe
winds that are expected to move through the state over the next 12
to 24 hours, NYSEG and RG&E are preparing to respond quickly
and efficiently to possible power interruptions. NYSEG and RG&E
have been monitoring the path and the strength of the cold front
that will spawn the wind for more than 24 hours. "Company personnel
are on alert, we are in contact with neighboring utilities for
possible assistance, contractors are lined up, supplies are
available and our customer relations centers are prepared," said

customers to avoid downed power lines. Even lines that appear dead
