NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Viacom Inc. (NYSE:VIANYSE:andNYSE:VIA.B) announced today that Susan C. Gordon has been appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of CBS Corporation, following the separation of the organization into two publicly traded companies. Ms. Gordon will report to Fredric G. Reynolds, who will serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CBS Corporation. Ms. Gordon, who will move to her new role from her current position as Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Viacom following the separation, will have overall responsibility for the controllership and financial reporting activities for CBS Corporation, which will include the CBS Television Network, UPN, Infinity Broadcasting, Viacom Outdoor, Viacom Television Stations Group, Paramount Television, King World, Simon & Schuster, Showtime and Paramount Parks. In these roles, Ms. Gordon had overall responsibility for Viacom's financial reporting, planning and budgeting, systems of internal controls, corporate and benefits accounting, international home offices finance functions, discontinued operations, and administration of stock option activity. Ms. Gordon has held a variety of senior financial management positions with Viacom, including Chief Financial Officer of Madison Square Garden (1994 to 1995), Vice President of Internal Audit (1986 to 1995), and Controller of the Viacom Broadcast Group (1985 to 1986). Prior to joining Viacom in 1981, Ms. Gordon was an auditor with the accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick. A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Gordon holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Lake Forest College and attended the master's in accountancy program at New York University's Graduate School of Business.
