INTANDEM FILMS PLC
("Intandem" or the "Company")
New Trading Name and Division Structure
Intandem Films plc, the London based international film group,
is pleased to announce that it will now trade as Intandem Media
Group. Existing operations will be split into three operating
divisions following the recent addition of a digital marketing
division to complement its sales and distribution offerings.
The divisions:
Manifest Films (Sales)
Newly named Manifest Films is a fully integrated, dynamic,
international film sales division whose primary activities include
film finance and international sales. This division will be headed
up by Andrew Brown and Billy Hurman who have been directors of
Intandem Films since it was formed on 22 April 2005.
JJ Distribution
The distribution division of Intandem Media Group will be called
JJ Distribution in recognition of our former colleague JJ Donovan
who passed away recently and will continue to be overseen by Group
CEO Robert Mitchell, who first joined the Intandem Board in 2011
then as a non-executive director. Robert has previously worked for
some of the biggest film companies in the world having been
employed by Walt Disney for 17 years where he set up the UK
operations of international film distribution company, Buena Vista,
in 1992.
Bold Ink
Emilie Kodjo will oversee the development of websites, social
media platforms as well as global and territory-specific
promotional campaigns online from the first day of production. She
will work alongside Consultant, Guy Meyer, who established an
award-winning marketing business called Firebelly in 1993 which he
later sold to Freeform in October 2012. He has extensive experience
in the digital marketing arena with previous clients including
Disney, Harper Collins, Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures and Universal
Pictures.
New website
A new-look website to reflect the revised Group structure will
be launched to coincide with the start of the Berlin Film Festival
on 6 February 2014.
Robert Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"We have taken a decision to change the Company's trading name
to reflect a new direction for the business in the digital era.
"As such there will now be three divisions, namely: Manifest
Films (Sales), JJ Distribution and our digital marketing division
now named Bold Ink. The recently added digital marketing division
reflects the fact that websites and social media are an
increasingly crucial part of a film's production, sales and
distribution process. Digital marketing is now the most effective
way to target film buyers, journalists, brands and consumers alike
and we are extremely excited by the growing opportunities in this
sector.
"Given how much the Company has changed over the last year and
after positive meetings with film makers and film financiers we
felt that now was the right time to update our structure. We
decided to rebrand our sales and distribution divisions following
the operational changes made in the last twelve months. We have a
strong team in place focused on developing a growing pipeline of
projects and driving revenue generating opportunities.
"Furthermore the new structure will allow the managers of each
division to be responsible for their own projections and P&L
accounts with the overall effect of creating a Company with more
transparency."
