Prometheus Energy, an alternative and renewable energy company, has signed a
contract with EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc., a North American-based natural gas
producer, to acquire purified residue (methane) gas from its Lisbon cryogenic
natural gas processing facility in San Juan County, Utah for use in the
production of liquefied natural gas ("LNG") as an alternative transportation
fuel.


Prometheus will develop a new liquefaction plant on EnCana's site in two phases.
Phase one, with an initial plant capacity of 12,000 gallons per day, is expected
to commence commissioning in the second quarter of 2008. The second phase will
increase output to over 22,000 gallons per day later that year. The Lisbon
liquefaction plant is expected to be Prometheus' third source of LNG that will
be serving the alternative vehicle fuel market in the Western US. The Company
has previously announced contracts for methane supply in Madera and Merced
counties in California, that are expected to be producing 10,000 gallons per day
of LNG in the same time frame.


Distributing LNG from the Lisbon plant into the alternative transportation fuel
market would displace over 3.5 million gallons of diesel fuel annually and could
have a significant, positive impact on air quality in the Western US. Relative
to commercial diesel vehicles, heavy-duty natural gas trucks emit 90% less
carbon monoxide and particulate matter and 50% less nitrogen oxides. Greenhouse
gas emissions are reduced by 10-25%.


Prometheus' contract manufacturer, Enerflex Systems Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta,
will provide the manufacturing and assembly services for the liquefaction unit.


Kirt Montague, CEO of Prometheus commented: "The Lisbon gas supply means that we
can quickly bring another secure and strategically located LNG production site
into commission. When aggregated with our existing projects, the Lisbon plant
will give us productive capacity of approximately 37,000 gallons of LNG per day
for distribution into the vehicle fuel market during the course of the next
year."
