The Fran ore is not placer. Trucking it 1200 miles is stupid, and definitely a money-loser. Plus, there is no real evidence it ever happened.

Having it all out there does sound a good exercise. Again the only doubt i have about it is that it could prejudice a future trial against Trump. It's said the cases were dismissed without prejudice to allow "future prosecution." Can only think now they know what is best.
