Urals Energy announces that Nafta (B) N.V. ("Nafta") has reduced its
shareholding in the Company by 3,500,000 Shares. The transfer of Shares took
place in settlement of a loan obligation, entered into prior to Urals Energy's
flotation, between Nafta and the transferee.

Following this transfer, which was finalised on 30 July 2007 and made
retroactively effective to 3 July 2007, Nafta holds 5,484,000 Shares
representing 4.6% of the Company's issued share capital.

As a result of their respective shareholdings in Nafta, Viatcheslav Rovneiko and
Gueorgui Ramzaitsev are deemed interested in a part of Nafta's shareholding in
Urals Energy.  Consequently, this transfer of shares reduces these individuals'
direct and indirect holdings in Urals Energy to:

Viatcheslav Rovneiko:  17,501,711 Shares or 14.7% of the Company's issued share
capital

Gueorgui Ramzaitsev:  15,576,618 Shares or 13.1% of the Company's issued share
capital
