Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) said in a filing late Tuesday it expects 2009 natural gas production of 815-825 billion cubic feet, ahead of its Aug. 3 forecast of 805-815 billion cubic feet.

The Oklahoma City energy giant now expects 2010 production of 882-902 billion cubic feet, ahead of its earlier view for production of 865-885 cubic feet.

Shares of Chesapeake Energy rose 1.8% to $29.99 in pre-market trades on Wednesday.
