France issued 8 billion euros ($8.76 billion) in new June
2049-dated green government bonds, or OATs, via a bank syndicate,
adding a new maturity point to its green OAT curve, one of the lead
manager banks said.
Final books for the new issue closed above EUR98 billion, the
same bank said. The spread on the bond was set 8 basis points above
the mid-yield of the 0.50% June 2044 green OAT.
The new bond has a 3% coupon, and it was priced at 96.528, at a
yield of 3.201%, the same bank said.
Joint lead managers of the transaction were BNP Paribas, BofA
Securities, Credit Agricole CIB, J.P. Morgan and Societe
Generale.
