The European Commission Wednesday cleared aircraft repair company Sabena Technics SA and Belgian freight air transport company TNT Airways to create an aircraft maintenance joint venture.

The venture, X-Air Services SA, will provide maintenance to TNT NV's (TNT.AE) fleet in Belgium.

TNT NV is TNT Airways' parent company.
