He will be located at the Corporate Office in New Hampton. Akash Tayal has twelve years of Research and Development experience in Applied and Fundamental Research in the field of materials and food science with National Starch and Chemical Company, Bridgewater, NJ. As Principle Scientist in R & D at Balchem, Tayal's primary role will be to continue to build upon the materials science technology platform. Leveraging this platform as a competitive advantage for new product development is targeted for existing commercial markets and developing markets. Tayal received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineering, New Delhi, India, and holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.
