Mathews has joined the company as senior vice president, president Circuit City Direct. Mathews, 45, has extensive experience in direct marketing and multi- channel retailing. Most recently, Mathews was chief executive officer of Allasso Management Group, a direct marketing consulting practice. Previously, he was president and chief operating officer of Crutchfield Corporation, a direct marketer of consumer electronics located in Charlottesville, Virginia; and senior vice president - marketing of eCustomers, Inc. In addition, Mathews spent three years with Dell Computer Corporation in various marketing roles including director of global marketing and director of consumer marketing. Mathews also spent 11 years with L.L. Bean Inc. in catalog, international retailing and internet roles, including general manager of LLBean.com.
