                                  BOARD CHANGE

The Directors of Burren Energy PLC are sad to announce the death over the
Christmas period of Mr. Andreas Dossenbach (52), a non-executive director of the
Company. He had been a director of Burren Energy since June 2003. The company
will commence the procedure to replace Mr Dossenbach shortly.
