CTI Completes Installation of TIP(TM) Suite at UNE Biomechanics Research Laboratory

OGDEN, Utah, May 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Computerized Thermal
Imaging, Inc. (CTI) (OTC:COIB) (BULLETIN BOARD: COIB) , today
announced successful installation of a Thermal Imaging Processor
(TIP(TM)) at the University of New England (UNE) in Portland,
Maine. Researchers at the UNE Biomechanics Research Laboratory
completed installation of the CTI TIP(TM) system and related
training during April 2006, equipping UNE with valuable imaging and
data collection capabilities. UNE announced the use of the TIP(TM)
system for a Peripheral Nerve Injury study earlier this month

of the TIP(TM) system and related training were provided by CTI
within two weeks of the original order, equipping UNE personnel
with the education and tools needed to begin valuable and accurate

Biomechanics Research Laboratory, has started collecting data using
the TIP(TM) system to quantify changes in blood flow during
physical therapy treatment of peripheral nerve injuries. "The CTI
thermal imaging system provides an innovative and effective manner
of examining physiological changes that occur during the
application of various physical therapy techniques used to treat
nerve injuries that would otherwise be very difficult to measure,"
explained Dr. Quick. "The Information gained from this work will
provide a framework for enhancing outcomes in the treatment of
these disorders and will help guide future research in this area."

National Institutes of Health National Center for Medical
