Analogic Corp. (delisted) (ALOG) Share Price

...this is the second time this year that I saw private equity "insider" steal away a perfectly growing company with great financials and product line...and no "class action" suits...

Was an avid investor here until it went over $84...I learned my lesson the hard way on the first one...was not about to chase it up when it popped.

...unlikely sale will be set aside...only because not enough shareholders ready to aggressively take action. No doubt its a rape of shareholders and likely Golden Parachutes for board/management who did not hold very many shares and likely were happy to retain their job.

Only happy I was not holding any options (or equity on margin) over $84...

A group of Analogic Corporation shareholders are attempting
to block the $1.1 billion purchase of the company by Altaris Capital Partners LLC.

The shareholders allege that the purchase price of $84 per share is insufficient in light of the company's growth prospects, and that deal-protection clauses in the merger agreement preclude other
companies from submitting successful competing offers. Indeed, the stock reached a high of $101.80 per share this past year alone. In addition, shareholders allege that senior management obtained personal benefits for their own self interests in agreeing to sell the company that are not being shared with common stockholders.

Analogic did not immediately respond to requests for a comment.

NO RESISTANCE until $90.00...with CT SCANNING likely to be introduced into major hotels...we could see a buyout between $130.00 - $150.00 a share...in

Getting through resistance between $83.60 to $86.00 will tell a lot about strength.

TSA certification of new CT Security scanner for Airport Security and now selling to American Airlines, was likely the opportunity to propel divesting of company assets to achieve optimum Value...An expected announcement of a smaller model for smaller airports represents further opportunity...

Cash flow positive, no debt, $156M in cash on handand almost $1/2 Billion in sales (without Security Scanner ramp up), and after a successful reorganization of product line for growth...

Shares of technology company Analogic (ALOG) jumped to new 52-week highs this morning, before backing down, perhaps on some profit taking. The movement comes on Friday's earnings release.

ALOG reported Q4 2012 revenue of $151 million, up 12% from the comparable period in 2011. Non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.32 were up 59%.

Both numbers trumped the Capital IQ analyst estimates of $140.6 million in revenue and EPS of $0.82.

ALOG has increased 75% in the last 12 months.
