BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamic Materials Corporation (DMC) (NASDAQ:BOOM), the world's leading provider of explosion-welded clad metal plates and associated services, today announced Harold Wiegard has been named president and general manager of the company's AMK Welding division. Based in South Windsor, Conn., AMK performs specialized welding work on military and commercial jet engine components, as well as ground-based turbines. Wiegard, 44, has more than 20 years of experience in specialized metals manufacturing and was previously vice president of operations for The Miller Company, an integrated manufacturer of copper base alloys. While there, Wiegard oversaw and implemented several process-improvement initiatives that enhanced on-time delivery performance and increased overall revenue. Prior to joining The Miller Company, he spent more than 15 years with Brush Engineered Materials where he was promoted to plant manager and oversaw a $120 million plant expansion. Wiegard holds a bachelor of science degree in metallurgy and materials engineering from Lehigh University.
