                           Acquisition of MineGem Inc

The Company is pleased to announce that it has now completed all steps required
under applicable corporate legislation to acquire the balance of the common
shares of MineGem Inc not owned by it.


The Company is the registered holder of 46,498,970 common shares of MineGem
Inc., which represents 93.22% of its issued share capital and up on completion
of registration formalities the Company will own 100% of MineGem Inc.


European Diamonds PLC is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in
London and its shares trade under the symbol EPD.
