KBR Awarded Contract by Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. for Development of Grassroots Ammonia Plant

KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced that it has been awarded a
contract by Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) to provide
licensing, basic engineering and extended basic engineering, and
technical consulting services for the development of a grassroots
ammonia plant in Tres Lagoas, Brazil.
KBR will license its KBR Purifier ProcessTM ammonia technology
for the anticipated 2,200 metric tons per day (MTPD) plant. Basic
engineering services will be provided for the ammonia plant, as
well as anticipated urea and urea granulation plants and related
offsite utility units. Under the contract, KBR will also provide
technical consulting services through the engineering, procurement
and construction (EPC) phase of the project.
