Retail Supplier Also Partners With Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce and State of Maryland BERLIN, Conn., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Select Energy, a leading regional provider of electricity and natural gas to businesses throughout the Northeast, has signed an electric contract with the United States Postal Service. The two-year agreement began July 1 and provides power to facilities throughout Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland. Several dozen post offices are part of the deal which is expected to reach a peak load of six megawatts. Among the buildings being served are the state's Departments of General Services, Agriculture, Transportation, and Natural Resources. Peak load is expected to reach six megawatts. A three-year electric contract now underway with the Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce (BWCC) and the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce is serving over 180 members. An additional six-month power contract with BWCC and four other area chambers of commerce began July 1 and will serve 35 more members.
