Yes,the key part I believe is "sell the power to Microsoft as the company searches for energy sources to fuel its AI ambitionst".So basically, if Microsoft is lining up for nuclear energy for AI, there will be a rush for nuclear energy from other tech giant AI players too. The AI thing (call it hype or call it a necessity),is just beginning. So the SMR (small modular reactor) companies(like NNE,SMR,OKLO) will gain prominence in the next few years. These take time to build and actually produce nuclear energy though.They are all a few years away to start output,but nuclear energy is definitely the future.

Oklo is probably in the best position of the three public nuclear startups (SMR, OKLO, NNE), but I fear they will all face the same problems soon enough...

Oklo has significant cash reserves, but they have already doubled costs in comparison to what they projected in 2023. I would be surprised if they managed to build their first facility in Idaho on time and on budget…

That isn't even a knock on the company. All of these larger-scale and novel projects tend to take longer than expected.

But even if we go off of their estimates, then it will take Oklo around three years to generate any real revenues. That assumes everything goes smoothly.

NuScale Power (SMR) had its project in Utah terminated after cost estimates continued to increase. In 2015, they assumed the project would cost $3 billion, but by 2023, it was estimated to cost $9.3 billion…

We also have to hope there aren’t any lawsuits that slow down progress further. I have a sneaking suspicion that the not-in-my-backyard (NIMBY) crowd will have it out for companies like Oklo. The last thing a startup company needs is endless litigation that slowly bankrupts the firm.

Jim Cramer said "Oklo Inc. (OKLO.NaE) is a company that is again losing so much money “hand-over-fist I can't even look at it.”

On Aug. 13, Oklo (OKLO.NaE) reported a quarterly loss of $5.17 per share, versus a year-ago loss of 6 cents per share.

No wonder the SP keeps hitting 52 Wk Low. I suspect this will be the case for quite awhile.At least till the end of 2025 / beginning of 2026, unless some mind blowing news is released before then. I wish it were different.

Mick, IMO it's an interesting, yet unproven technology. I do note that Cathie Woods of the ARK Funds, is putting some OKLO shares into her portfolio(s). I usually make money watching for entry and exits on her buys. Quick flips. Not buy and holds on most positions. They bounce around somewhat.

Hi Mick. They are developing a fast fission nuclear powerhouse and signed an agreement with Siemans to supply parts/equipment to OKLO.

I saw it on being purchased by one of ARK's ETF's funds. Usually ARK has done a good job vetting stocks in their portfolios.

Of course investors should do their own research. I am not making investment advice. But, full disclosure. I do own shares in OKLO.

FYI, this is not the old OKLOF. This is a nuclear power stock that formed as a result with a merger with AltC Acquisition Corp (NYSE: ALCC). AltC was basically a Sam Altman investment capital holding company he used to fast track Oklo to the NYSE. They are expected to beat everyone else in the SMR roll out race.
