(NYSE:WBC) (http://www.wabco-auto.com/), a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced that WABCO was awarded a major contract to supply anti-lock braking systems (ABS) to KAMAZ, the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation. In addition, KAMAZ has contracted WABCO to supply air disc brakes and actuators for their commercial vehicles. One out of every two trucks produced in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States is made by KAMAZ, who WABCO has been supplying since 1992. In addition to anti-lock braking systems, WABCO currently provides KAMAZ with electronically controlled air suspension systems as well as components for braking and gear box control. KAMAZ exports a quarter of its production of commercial vehicles to more than 50 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
