VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / April 4, 2014 / Sultan Minerals
Inc. (TSX-V: SUL) ("Sultan" or the "Company") is pleased to
announce that the Company's representatives will be attending the
Kamloops Exploration Group's 27th Annual KEG Conference and Trade
Show to be held in Kamloops from Monday April 7 to Thursday April
10, 2014.
Sultan's president and CEO, Arthur Troup will personally be
present at the Conference where he will be available to discuss the
company's plans for the new gold discoveries on its Daylight Gold
property located 10 km south of the community of Nelson in
southeastern, British Columbia.
The Daylight property, initially staked in 1893, is host to 4
historic mines that operated intermittently prior to closure due to
low gold prices in 1949. A complete review of historic information
on the Daylight property was completed by the company's consulting
geologist, Perry Grunenberg. The study found that the property is
host to a number of vein, stockwork and porphyry style gold and
gold-copper occurrences including the historic Starlight, Victoria,
Daylight and Great Eastern gold-silver-copper mines.
The project review successfully identified four gold bearing
targets that require exploration. These are the Starlight Shear
Zone, the North Star Shear Zone, the Great Eastern Porphyry Gold
Zone, and the Silver King Gold Corridor.
In November 2013 Sultan successfully carried out a preliminary
prospecting and sampling program on the Daylight property that
located and confirmed the historic workings. The highlights of the
program were: 1) the Starlight Gold Vein which averaged 10.3 g/t
gold and 68.15 g/t silver over a 60.0 metre vein length with an
average vein width of 1.6 metres and 2) the Victoria Gold Vein that
assayed 28.1 g/t gold across a vein width of 0.85 metres (see Dec.
16, 2013 news release).
The recent project review included an assessment of historical
exploration, mining and sampling activities and recent geochemical,
geophysical and sampling programs completed by Sultan. Mr. Perry
Grunenberg, P.Geo., of PBG Geoscience from Kamloops, BC, is
Sultan's project supervisor and "Qualified Person" for the purpose
of NI 43-101, "Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects".
